1. Introduction

Vaksys Presenter (“the App”) is a utility application designed to control presentation software via secure Bluetooth connections and offline voice commands. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and the strict terms under which you use the App.

By downloading, installing, or using Vaksys Presenter, you explicitly agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

2. Data Collection and Usage

A. Microphone & Voice Data (100% Offline Processing)

The App uses your device’s microphone to detect specific presentation commands (e.g., “Next Slide”, “Ok Next Slide”, “Blank”).

• No Cloud Storage or Transmission: All audio processing is performed strictly locally on your device using an embedded offline speech recognition engine.
• No Recording: We do not record, save, store, upload, or transmit your voice or background audio to any external server, third party, or the developer.
• Ephemeral Data: Audio data is processed in your device’s Random Access Memory (RAM) in real-time and is permanently destroyed immediately after the command is recognized.

B. Bluetooth & Nearby Devices

The App uses Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) technology to act as a wireless keyboard for your computer.

• Direct Connection: This connection is a direct, localized handshake between your phone and your computer.
• No Tracking: We do not track, log, or transmit the MAC addresses, names, or identities of the devices you connect to.

C. Location Data (Important Clarification)

We do not collect, track, or store your geographic location. * Android 12 and newer: The App only requests the “Nearby Devices” permission to find and connect to your computer.

• Android 11 and older: Due to legacy Android system architecture, Bluetooth scanning requires the “Location” permission to be granted. This is a strict operating system requirement enforced by Google, not the App. Vaksys Presenter does not use this permission to determine your physical location.

D. Personal Information

We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.

3. Required App Permissions

To function correctly, Vaksys Presenter requires the following permissions:

1. RECORD_AUDIO: Strictly used to listen for navigation commands while the Voice Mode is active.
2. BLUETOOTH_CONNECT / BLUETOOTH_SCAN / BLUETOOTH_ADVERTISE: Required to discover, advertise to, and pair with your computer to send presentation keystrokes.
3. ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: (Only on older Android versions) Required by the Android OS to allow Bluetooth scanning.
4. FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Required to keep the Bluetooth connection alive and stable when your phone screen turns off during a live presentation.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Play Services (Billing): The App uses the Google Play Billing Library to process upgrades to the “PRO” version. Google entirely handles all financial transactions securely, subject to its own privacy policy. Vaksys Technologies Pvt. Ltd. never has access to your credit card or payment details.
• Crash Analytics: Google Play may collect anonymous crash logs and performance data to help us fix bugs and improve stability. This data is strictly aggregated and does not identify you personally.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY (CRITICAL)

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the absolute maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer and VAKSYS TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD. shall NOT be held liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to:

1. Financial or Professional Loss: Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from a failed, interrupted, or ruined presentation (e.g., lost business pitches, failed academic defenses, loss of clients, or loss of revenue).
2. Hardware or Software Failures: Any issues arising from Bluetooth interference, operating system updates, battery failure, or software incompatibility between the phone and the computer.
3. Safety and Accidents: Accidents, injuries, or property damage resulting from distraction while using the App.

You acknowledge and agree that you use Vaksys Presenter entirely at your own risk. It is your sole responsibility to thoroughly test the App in your specific hardware environment before relying on it for critical or high-stakes presentations.

6. Children’s Privacy

Vaksys Presenter is a professional utility and does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify our Privacy Policy at any time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon being posted.
